Special Assistance Programme of U.G.C.

The Department has been selected by University Grants Commission for implementation of its Special Assistance Programme (S.A.P.) at the level of DSA in the thrust area of International Finance / Accounting. The programme aims at raising the quality of teaching / research in various disciplines. Under the programme, a grant of 24.75 lakhs has bee sanctioned by the U.G.C. Prof. Shirin Rathore is the coordinator of the programme. It is proposed to carry out a number of activities under the programme in order to encourage research in the thrust area. Prof. Shirin Rathore indicated that a national seminar is also proposed to be organized in order to disseminate findings of various research projects that are already being undertaken in the area. A part of the grant has also been earmarked for publication of the research findings. Attempts shall also be made to strengthen the infrastructure for research and teaching in the Department.
