The MFC Programme seeks to equip a select group of students with conceptual and analytical skills for financial decision making. What sets this course apart from contemporary courses in the area of management is the balanced blend in various aspects of Finance. The students are provided with inputs in the basic areas of managerial decision-making such as Organizational Behaviour, Managerial Economics, Quantitative Techniques, Financial Accounting, Corporate Laws etc., as well as in different areas of finance such as Financial Management, Financial Services, International Finance, International Accounting, Investment Management, Project Appraisal etc.

To keep students abreast with the latest developments in the field of finance, the curriculum has been updated with effect from 1998-99 to include new courses such as Derivatives & Risk Management, Treasury management, Real Estate Investment Management, Insurance Management, Mutual Funds Management, Equity Research etc. The revised curriculum consists of thirty courses including an industry project study and an 8-10 week Summer Training Programme in reputed organizations. The summer training Programme offers the students an opportunity to put the acquired financial knowledge to practice and also to leverage on the experience gained in their second year. The edge is further sharpened by constant interaction with the industry through the Annual Convention, Seminars, Workshops, Symposia and Research work.
