In
an effort to cope with the enormous expansion, while continuing to maintain
its high academic standards, the University of Delhi initiated in the early
seventies a new organizational
pattern based on the concept of a multi-campus Institution. Following this
policy, the University started South Campus in 1973 as an experiment in
multi-campus system with focus on inter disciplinary programmes in Social
Sciences, Humanities and Applied Sciences.
The Campus, during the course of past two and a half decades, has emerged
as a pioneer institution of higher education, learning & research and has
acquired an identity of its own. |
