Amar Jyoti is a voluntary organisation rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through integrated education, medical care, vocational training child guidance and self employment since 1981.It has a branch in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh also. With a mission of creating an inclusive barrier free and rights based society. Amar Jyoti has reached the un reached and has received several national and international recognitions for its achievements in past twenty five years. As a path breaker in providing opportunities through integrated sports and cultural activities, the organisation has conducted the lifeline Express Camps in remote areas, introduced  abilympics - a competition in vocational skills for persons with disabilities in India, promoted disable friendly transportation and initiated participation of children with disability in republic day parade. Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust is an associate member of Rehabilitation International, USA and International Abilympic Federation, Japan. For its services ,the founder & Managing Secretary ,Dr .(Mrs) Uma Tuli was nominated by Ministry of Social Justice ,Govt. of India to be the Chief Commissioner for persons with Disability from 2001 to 2005. The institution is working with the vision of placing its citizen’s wit disability on the same platform as the non -disabled.
