Post‐doc Research Scholars

To further strengthen the research efforts and culture in the Department of Financial Studies, it will accept post‐doc research scholars on deputation from the Colleges/University/Industry in the fields of Finance and Accounting/Control and related interdisciplinary fields.
1. Eligibility: A person (i) who has a PhD, (ii) who has at least three articles published or accepted for publication in refereed international journals (as defined above) and (iii) who has a research proposal which can be completed in less than a year will be eligible for the position of the postdoc research proposal. Selection by the DRC (Departmental Research Committee) will be based on the successful defence of the proposal.
2. Terms and Conditions:
i. It is a full‐time position for a period of eleven months to carry out research on the accepted proposal in the Department of Financial Studies. No extension will be given.
ii. A faculty member of the Department may be assigned to a post‐doc scholar as mentor
or anchor.
iii.The post‐doc will make quarterly presentation of his/her research progress and give a
report to the HoD. In case of unsatisfactory progress, the DRC will ask him/her to leave
without any exception.
iv. Once the research is completed, the post‐doc will make a presentation.
v. The post‐doc scholar will bring out a working paper under the Department’s working
paper series and finally, publish article in a refereed international journal with adequate
credit to the Department of Financial Studies.
vi. The Department will provide its available computer facilities, software, and databases to
the post‐doc scholars.
vii. The Department will issue a certificate to a post‐doc scholar only upon brining out a
working paper and publishing the paper in refereed international journal.
